Alexander Zverev And Daniil Medvedev Are Set To Meet Again At The Semi-Finals In Beijing

Alexander Zverev and Daniil Medvedev will meet for the 17th time in their career in the semifinals at the China Open in Beijing, Medvedev currently leads 9-7 on their Head 2 Head meetings. They both were forced to play a 3-set match in the quarters before securing a spot in the final 4.

Alexander Zverev survives the quarterfinal match against Nicolas Jarry and brings himself to a 7-match win streak after claiming the last title in Chengdu last week. Zverev claimed a ticket to the semifinals winning the match in 3 sets: 6-1, 6(5)-7, 6-3. Amazing comeback from Zverev as he regains his game after a tough injury last season.

Daniil Medvedev was also forced to play a 3-set match over the Frenchman Ugo Humbert in the quarterfinals, ultimately winning 6-4, 3-6, 6-1; his 41st hard-court win of the season. Medvedev will be looking to win his fifth title of the season and continue his amazing run towards the Nitto ATP Finals.

Daniil Medvedev will be more rested going into the semifinals as Zverev had spent more time on the court. Zverev had played two more sets compared to Medvedev in this tournament. Their match-up is always exciting and we look forward to a great match!
