Punch Volley Finisher

Net play is a good tool to have in your arsenal as it changes the pace of the game and throws your opponents off their usual play-styles. The punch volley finisher brings a new level of aggressiveness to your game, forcing your opponent to come out of their comfort zone.

Finishing the Point

Your coach will teach you how to finish the point at the net. In matches where your opponent is consistent and has good stamina, long rallies may be commonplace, especially so for modern tennis where players often enjoy grinding it out at the baseline. You will learn to look for an opportunity to sneak to the net to finish off the point.

Set-up

Rushing the net in the middle of a rally is not a good strategy. Your coach will show you how to set up the point by hitting an aggressive or difficult shot before moving to the net. By doing so, you can prevent your opponent from hitting an easy passing shot or lob, and it gives you an easier return to put away with your volley.

Punching Through the Ball

You will learn to hit punch volleys with power and precision. Hitting the ball back down the middle or returning with a weak volley gives your opponent the perfect opportunity to drive the ball back at you. When at the net, you’ll need to be confident with your volleys and smashes. You will acquire the skills to finish the point quickly at the net to avoid getting into a sticky situation.
